WASHINGTON, DC – JANSON is proud to announce its facilities modernization project for the U.S. Army’s Project Manager Soldier Lethality (PM SL) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. Designed to improve everything from Soldier and civilian workspaces to large dual classification (SIPR/NIPR) conference rooms, JANSON is responsible for creating collaborative work areas that meet the needs of current safety guidelines, while modernizing the overall look and feel of all the office areas, hallways and conference rooms throughout the building.
“We wanted to create an inspiring space for our workforce to return to the office post-pandemic – and that is exactly what JANSON was able to do in the overhaul of our building,” said Barbara Muldowney, Deputy PdM Individual Weapons. “JANSON was successful in taking our mission, vision, and goals and developed a clean, modern look and feel that is realized throughout our entire facility while incorporating who we are, what we provide the Soldier and our alignment with the Army.”
The outdated workspace is being transformed into a clean, appealing office environment with collaboration zones, fresh modern color schemes and new LED lighting to inspire creativity – all while ensuring the U.S. Army branding was front and center throughout the building. With the pandemic in full swing during this effort, JANSON put special attention on new guidelines and safety measures to include wipeable surfaces and more open areas for their workforce.

We got to work with the Deputy PdM and her team at PM SL along with our highly specialized team of industrial designers, space planners and technology specialists to create a design approach that ensured a brighter, open and more spacious workspace area for the staff in a modernized environment that frankly reinforced the amazing work and products the workforce generates as the Home of Army Lethality.”
