About the Military Heritage Museum
The Military Heritage Museum (MHM), founded in 2001 and located in Punta Gorda, Florida, tells the larger story of America’s numerous warfighting, humanitarian and nation-building engagements through the smaller and highly personal stories of individuals and artifacts. The museum is unique in that it covers the histories, missions and impacts of each of America’s five service branches. All docents are military veterans who have honorably served their country and now continue their service by telling their personal stories related to the more than 20,000 artifacts, documents and other museum holdings. Admission is free. For more information, please visit https://freedomisntfree.org.
