20th Anniversary

Gala Event to be Highlighted by the Launch of CEO's Much-Anticipated Memoir – Facing Chapter 11 – Which Recounts the Company's Miraculous Tale of Survival.


MANASSAS, VA, June 4, 2018

JANSON, a woman-owned, small business supplier of strategy, branding and communications solutions, will celebrate its 20th anniversary on June 7, 2018, at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel.

The gala evening will commemorate all of the defining moments that have enabled this dynamic company to survive and thrive through two tumultuous decades that included war, recession, sequestration and financial insecurity—and an improbable but ultimately successful transition from the aerospace industry to the U.S. military market.

At one time, the thought of such a celebration would have been seen as little more than a pipedream. In early 2002, an accountant told JANSON CEO Janet Chihocky that she had no choice but to file for bankruptcy. Against all odds, Janet decided to put her fate in God’s hands and fight to keep her company going.

The nail-biting tale of that dark but wondrous time of persistence, obedience and trust is told in Janet’s new memoir, Facing Chapter 11: When Your Accountant Says Yes, But God Says No! The book will be introduced at the 20th Anniversary Gala.

Facing Chapter 11 has been endorsed by Gen. (Retired) Ann Dunwoody, the first female four-star general of the U.S. Armed Forces and author of A Higher Standard, who stated: “Janet has made her unique story applicable to women and men who want to take risks, insist on doing what is right and persevere, against any and all odds, in the pursuit of their greater purpose in life. JANSON, which is headquartered in Prince William County but also has a presence in Huntsville, Ala., and Moline, Ill., continues to grow and excel within the military market. In 2017, the company nearly doubled its revenues from the prior year. Currently, more than 25 strategists, designers and communications specialists make up the JANSON team.
