FAIRFAX, Va., August 12, 2025 — JANSON, a defense and commercial strategic growth company with an emphasis on communications and modernization, today announced that it will open a 7,000-square-foot fabrication facility within the Dekalb Technology Center in Atlanta, Ga. this fall. A grand opening will be held in early 2026 for the new facility, which is intended to meet growing demand for its industrial design and custom fabrication services.
This comes on the heels of JANSON’s decision in 2024 to bring its fabrication capabilities in-house under the direction of Joe Powell, a true master carpenter with 40 years of global experience designing, engineering, building, and installing museum-quality exhibits, among them “King Tut and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs” and “Diana: A Celebration.”
JANSON’s fabrication team, working closely with JANSON’s 3D and industrial designers, brings a unique American craftmanship and artistry to the firm’s ability to provide modernized interiors, enhanced venues, and content-driven experiences. Client demand is increasing.

A key benefit of the new Atlanta facility is that it will allow JANSON’s designers and fabrication team to be under one roof, working side by side in a highly coordinated fashion. This will enable a superior quality control program, faster delivery, an increase in project complexity and scope, and maximum cost-efficiency.
