Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME)

JANSON has an immediate need for a Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our customer at the Army PEO Soldier at Fort Belvoir. This is a full-time position with an expectation of working onsite 2 days a week with 25%-30% travel to support events.

This position requires a professional who can work successfully in a fast-paced customer environment and possesses and independently applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. This candidate may be assigned responsibility to participate in or lead project efforts as outlined below.

    JOB DUTIES:

  • Interface directly with Executive Senior Leaders, Senior Military Leaders, Congressmen, Diplomats, Soldiers and other key stakeholders to brief and demonstrate the capabilities and program status of PEO Soldier portfolio products and systems for domestic and international events.

  • Learn performance specifications and equipment descriptions on PEO Soldier portfolio products and systems.

  • Ensure the consistency and accuracy of information of PEO Soldier products and programs being presented to our customers, the general public, industry, and to the Army Senior Leadership.

  • Provide PEO Soldier portfolio product and system user expertise in support of the development of PEO Soldier and Army marketing campaigns and marketing products (handouts, brochures, publications, videos, graphics, photographs, posters, banners, signs, etc.).

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspect, initial planning through After Action reviews, of PEO Soldier exhibition and demonstration efforts for large/small scale conferences, market related events, tradeshows, workshops and seminars.

  • Prepare exhibit schedules, draft taskers and Letters of Instruction for exhibition events.

  • Assist in evaluating the return on investment for PEO Soldier portfolio exhibition events.

  • Provide PEO Soldier portfolio user-level information to assist with all aspects of internal and external communications and marketing outreach activities. Conduct market research for conferences and other events.

  • Manage the accountability/serviceability of exhibition and demonstration materials and equipment and hand-receipted PEO Soldier portfolio items used for exhibition or demonstration events.

  • Plan and manage shipping, transportation, setup, execution, and teardown of PEO Soldier exhibits.

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of four (4) years demonstrated professional communications/ marketing/public relations experience, with at least three (3) years’ experience within public affairs/communications/marketing/public relations within the past five (5) years

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline.

  • Active secret clearance.

  • Ability to multi-task, time management and organizational skills.
